MINOT, N.D. - Minot's Mike Stenvold is on his way to the 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities as a hole marshal.

He'll be managing crowd control and finding where shots land on the 16th hole for the event.

His golf bucket list includes going to the Masters and working a PGA event, so the fourth of July weekend tournament checks one item off the list.

"Being that close to the pros, hearing the sound of the ball being hit from those guys, is just amazing. Being around the atmosphere of a PGA event is [going to] be the most exciting part," Stenvold said.

Stenvold had to submit a golf resume through a volunteer form in November and was notified in February that he got the hole marshal job. He added that he's excited to represent Souris Valley Golf Course at the 3M Open.
