DICKINSON, N.D. - Bismarck native and Dickinson State defensive back Jay Liggins didn't hear his name called during the 2019 NFL draft but that doesn't mean he isn't heading to the NFL.
Liggins is signing an Undrafted Rookie Free Agent deal with the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday.
Liggins has been a four-year starter at Dickinson State. He has been named all-conference three times including being named the Co-MVP of the North Star conference this year. It is the fourth straight year a Dickinson State player has been named to the 1st Team, as well as being named to the All-American team twice.
Liggins finished his career with 14 interceptions, including eight this past season.
He set the Dickinson State single game record with four interceptions against Northwestern Iowa in the Blue Hawks 14-6 first round playoff victory.
