MINOT, N.D. - Some local Native American youth in Minot got the chance to hear about the life experiences of a former pro football player Tuesday night.
Levi Horn spoke at the Sleep Inn and Suites.
Horn is an enrolled member of the Northern Cheyenne.
He was hosted by the MHA Nation, and the office of the chairman and the vice chairman.
The presentation was called "Making Moves," and it gave Horn the chance to share how he overcame obstacles to make it to the pro's.
"Representation is not only great for our native youth so that they can visualize what they can see, but it's also good for our non-native neighbors to also see what Native Americans are capable of today," said Tawny Cale, who attended the presentation.
"Just being able to take in the good information with the positive mindset and listen to all those around you, we've got to be able to do this together and go forward in a good way," said Horn.
Horn played for the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears in his career.
