Larks baseball on West Dakota Fox

BISMARCK, N.D. - The Bismarck Larks have been a hit with baseball fans ever since they played their first game in Bismarck.

This weekend, they'll also be playing on West Dakota Fox

John Bollinger is the Larks General Manager and he says having the opportunity to expand the Larks fan footprint through television is a big benefit. We've put them on every season so far.

"When you guys came to us and said we can have a Larks game on the big screen on the TV, on the main station, I just thought, 'wow, what a cool opportunity,' and just for us to not only show Bismarck-Mandan what were doing, but the entire state of North Dakota, even eastern Montana, these games is pretty pretty cool. So it's something special every year for us," Bollinger said.

The Northwoods League has 22 teams spread across the United States.

Bollinger says it's unique to have a team in the league have some games live on a commercial television station.

"Typically, our markets are just local, they would never even think they would have a game on TV. So for us to get it out there in other markets, we even seen fans come and say hey, we are from Dickinson, Watford City, come here to watch the game we've heard about you guys. It's crazy to see a team like us for only three years down the road getting that kind of recognition across the state. It's pretty cool and we have a lot to thank all you guys for helping us with that," Bollinger said.

The games we are televising on West Dakota Fox are against Mankato.

On Saturday, we're on the air at 6:00 p.m. CT.

Sunday's match-up against the MoonDogs begins at 3:00 p.m. CT.
