WILLISTON, N.D. - Tuesday night in Williston, Aanen Moody because the All-Time Leading Scorer in Class-A Boys Basketball history.
The Dickinson senior did not need many points to pass A.J. Jacobson, and he broke the record early in the game.
A.J. held the mark since his senior year at Shanley in 2013.
"I just want to say congratulations. It's an awesome feat, and it's a lot of points, and he did a great job in scoring those points in a pretty short amount of time. He's a tremendous player, and I wish him the best of luck," says Jacobson.
Jacobson passed Jeff Boschee on the all-time class-A list during the state championship game. The Deacons beat Bismarck for the title in 2013.
"Obviously, Jeff Boschee is an incredible player. He played at Kansas and did a lot of good things at Kansas, and he's a great shooter and great player from North Dakota, and it's pretty awesome to be named with him and being able to have my name said with his name is pretty cool," says Jacobson.
Jacobson is a junior on the NDSU basketball team. Moody has signed to play at UND next year.
