Holsteins host Surrey

NEW SALEM, N.D. - The 9-man playoffs continue this weekend, and after earning a first round bye, the New Salem-Almont-Glen Ullin Holsteins will host Surrey on Saturday.

The Holsteins have not played the Mustangs, and so headed into this game they’re practicing what they do best and going over the scouting report.

"We hope to be ready,” said head coach of the Holsteins, Steve Kleinjan. “I mean, we're going to prepare hard to get ready. They've got a really talented ball club, they've got some good athletes in the backfield and they're big and physical up front and play good defense, and so it's that unknown. We haven't played them like you said, so again, we need to prepare ourselves and focus in on doing the things that we can take care of, and if we do those things, then we hope that it will take care of itself."

It’s a 2:00 CT start on Saturday in New Salem, and Friday you will hear more from them as Kaleigh Emery puts Braden Zuroff in this week’s Sports Spotlight.
