GLEN ULLIN/HEBRON, N.D. - The Glen Ullin/ Hebron Boy's Basketball team entered the 2019-2020 season not exactly knowing where they would stand. That's because the Bearcats would graduate six seniors last year and they have no seniors and only four juniors on their roster this season.
The Bearcats are 6-13 and with it being a rebuilding year the Bearcats are happy picking up wins and continuing to build towards their future with a team that will return every one next season.
"Well, we know we have the whole team back next year. So, this year we are kinda working on the fundamentals of things just to get it ready for next year so we can be ready to go," said junior guard Grant Gerving.
"It is pretty cool, because we already know that everything we do this year is building on for next year," said freshman guard Kanyon Unruh.
"These kids are developing into some pretty good basketball players, and the best part is we get them all back next year but the biggest thing we need to get accomplished this year is some team unity type things. Because coming into the year we only had one kid who had played in a Varsity game and that was Grant Gerving. So, as we go through the year the progress we have made has been phenomenal and we are just excited about it," said Head Coach Greg Pruitt.
The Bearcats return to action on Saturday when they play host to Grant County.
