Gatorade North Dakota Football Player of the Year

BISMARCK, N.D. - Every year, Gatorade selects one athlete per sport from each state as their athlete of the year. This year, the Gatorade North Dakota Football Player of the Year is senior quarterback Will Madler from Bismarck High.

Madler helped lead the BHS Demons to the 2018 Dakota Bowl, and to a Class-AAA State Title after defeating Century. This season, he threw for 2,088 yards with 21 touchdowns. Madler completed 116 of 171 passes with just two interceptions as he was the Class-AAA Player of the Year, and was named the West Region Player of the Year.

On top of his success on the football field, he also participates in basketball and baseball, while helping out in the community and maintaining a 4.0 GPA.
