DICKINSON, N.D. - Playing in more than one sport is common-place in high school.
Once you get to college it becomes much more difficult.
Dickinson State's Jay Liggins and Cain Boschee are standouts in football and track. Liggins leaves later this week to compete for a job with the Philadelphia Eagles.
He and Cain are both All-American defensive backs and they have both won events in track & field.
"He's a great competitor. He and I battled every single day, in football practice I was with him every day in defensive back drills and track practice we do some sprint workouts together and it's always competitive," said Boschee.
Boschee is a safety while Liggins played corner. Cain says Jay's ability on the outside helped him play better in the middle.
"You always knew that no matter what I could go help off someone else because I always knew Jay was going to lock down and nothing was going to get past him," said Boschee.
Boschee did workout for the NFL scouts at the Bison pro day, he did not sign with an agent for football because he did not want to forfeit his senior season in track. Liggins will go into the Sports Spotlight Wednesday.
