Carson Wentz helps Eagles to a win

It was fun that the first touchdown pass in the first game back for Carson Wentz went to Dallas Goedert. A former Bison quarterback throwing to a former Jackrabbit tight end.

Wentz helped the Eagles beat Indianapolis in his return from the severe knee injury that ended last season and postponed the start of this year.

"It felt good! It felt good to finally be out there. It was kind of a long time coming obviously, a lot of excitement, a lot of emotions but coming out the way we did with that hot start going right down the field, going no huddle, tempo, it's felt good. It felt good," said Wentz.

Eagles Head Coach Doug Pederson said: "It was exciting to get him back out there, and all week, really it started back on Tuesday with our walk through. And then, the whole week, just seeing him, how he got in the huddle, talking to the guys, communicating with the skill guys, kind of getting back to his old self."

Wentz is a graduate of Bismarck Century High School and North Dakota State University. He and the Eagles will face the Tennessee Titans this weekend.
