FARGO, N.D. - We’re weeks away from the 2018 Bison Football season, and while they are already about five practices in, Head Coach Chris Klieman says things are a little bit different when it comes to how many practices they do have this year, compared to the past.
"We have a new NCAA rule this year, in the past it's always been 29 practice opportunities before you play a game. They cut that down to 25, so in essence you're finding a couple of days off here and there. I think it's a good rule, simply because, we had all 110 athletes here this summer, and that's a great advantage to have everybody here, they're doing enough things, there's enough captains practices and things that, 25 practices is enough to get yourself ready to play a game," said Klieman.
The Bison still has around 25 practices left before the season starts Sept. 1 versus Cal Poly.
