Bison getting ready for Bobcats

The Bison played in Bozeman in the 2010 playoffs. North Dakota State beat Montana State that day. The same two teams will meet on Saturday but this time it's in the Fargodome where the Bison are 21-1 in the FCS post-season.

Montana State made a major change during the season. The Bobcats switched offensive coordinators and they moved to a running attack featuring converted quarterback Troy Anderson. He reminds the Bison head coach Chris Klieman of Chris Streveler.

"Physical runner, same thing you think how does he keep coming back after getting hit and carrying the ball 20-25 times and he does. A real fun kid to watch in the fact he played some linebacker early in the season. They give it to him on jet sweeps as a wildcat formation and he comes crossed and really a good player and obviously for us to be successful it starts with him," said NDSU Head Coach Chris Klieman.

Klieman says once the team found out it was facing Montana State, the intensity went up in practice and meetings.

"We always have good focus. You don't win as many games as we have and not have good focus but I think it's amped up a level," said Klieman. "I think the older guys holding the younger guys even more accountable to the cause and to the process and absolutely it's so exciting because it it survive and advance you know."

The Bison are the number one seed and they'll be at home until Frisco if they keep winning.

Here's a question we will get a ton this week: "Will the Bison playoff games be on the KFYR-KVLY Bison Television Network?

The answer is no.

The rights to the FCS playoff games are owned by ESPN so we are no longer allowed to televise any of the playoff games.

What we will continue to do for fans all across the state is the Farmers Union Insurance Bison Football Pre-Game show. On Dec. 1 it starts at 1:00 p.m. CT on KFYR-TV Sports
