FRISCO, Texas - It’s the biggest game of the season for the North Dakota State Bison. Saturday they will take on Eastern Washington for a chance at a seventh national championship in eight years.
They’re loud, proud and ready to cheer their team on to another national championship.
"In life there aren't a whole lot of things that you can have such a large group of people get together and represent the college and the state well, it’s just fun," said Sherree, Little Falls, Minn.
Three thousand North Dakota State fans packed into Legacy Hall in Plano, Texas Friday evening to show their support. It’s a chance to reunite with friends some haven’t seen in decades
"Today I met people I haven’t met for 20 years since I went to NDSU in the late 70s, so I guess that’s more than 20 years now," said Greg Engen, Little Falls, Minn.
With fans traveling to Frisco from across the country, for some, it's a chance for the whole family to get together.
"I grew up a Bison fan my whole life. I went there, my family went there, this is almost a family reunion for me. So to be able to see my parents, and aunts, and uncles, and cousins, and get to watch a great football game in warm weather, doesn’t get any better than that," said Seth Knudsen, Cincinnati, Ohio.
One things for sure, Bison pride won’t be in short supply come 11 a.m. Saturday.
You can catch the pregame show starting at 9:30 Saturday morning on the KFYR-KVLY Bison Television Network.
