BISMARCK, N.D. - If you look at the Bismarck Lark’s roster, there is plenty of talent across the board. But, the way Coach Sean Repay evaluated players in his talent search, is not typical in the Northwoods League.
The Larks valued experienced players, opposed to those from higher levels of college baseball.
"While we have some great D1 talent on the roster, he was really trying to find the best players from all across the college levels, so whether that's D2, Ju-Co, NAIA. So, if you look at our roster, we have a lot of experience,” said Larks General Manager John Bollinger.
Repay added: "I picked the right guys, you know the guys on the bus, the way they get together. I picked the right guys, not just from a personality standpoint, but they're the right fit you know, from a physical and skill level standpoint."
You can hear more from Coach Repay on Wednesday as he goes into this week’s Sports Spotlight. And Tuesday tonight, the Larks will take on the La Crosse Loggers once more, first pitch is at 7:05 CT.
