BISMARCK, N.D. - The annual football contest between the University of Mary and Minot State is called "The Battle of the Big Lake."
Saturday will be the seventh-annual rivalry since the Beavers joined the NCAA Division-II ranks.
This is the 32nd-year for football at UMary and the Marauders have played Minot State 27-times over the years.
Here's a quick scouting report on the Beavers:
"They got a good secondary like they did last year, so that's going to be number one. We have to win on the outside and we got to be able to establish the run game which I know we can do. We just got to do it," said Kade Lynch, UMary wide receiver.
"I think the quarterback is pretty good. The kid can throw the ball. He's very athletic so we got to stop number two. He's a heck of a player. He kind of runs the show for them and the Isaiah kid, number 24, the running back, he's pretty talented as well and the Bushnell kid, number 14, the wide receiver so they got three weapons offensively that we got to control," said Craig Bagnell, UMary head coach.
It's a 6:00 p.m. CT start on Saturday at the Bismarck Community Bowl in Bismarck.
