The Bismarck Demons started their hockey season defeating two teams from the East; 3-2 against West Fargo and 5-2 over Fargo North.

The Demons have 12 seniors this season, and a lot of players returning with varsity experience.

Senior forward Darin Sardelli said: “We got a lot of seniors this year. I think we got 13 seniors this year so that's really strong for you, so we got a lot of older guys and they know what they're doing. So, we're 2-0 so far I think we got a pretty strong start we got two games coming up this week so hopefully we'll get two wins."

Tonight is their first game against a West Region opponent. The Demons take on their cross-river rival, the Mandan Braves.

“Yeah I mean we got a couple region games with Mandan tomorrow night and Jamestown over in Jamestown on Thursday you know that's always a tough place to play as well and certainly tomorrow is a rivalry game Mandan comes in they play hard and we're going to have to match that you know I know they got a lot of guys back from last year so probably a very similar look than what we saw last year and we're going to have to compete we're going to have to go in there and battle and try to do all the little things right," said Head Coach Mike Peluso.

We’ll have Demons and Braves hockey highlights tonight at 10:00 CT.
