BISMARCK, N.D. - According to the bureau of labor statistics North Dakota is second highest in the nation for the percentage of people engaged in sports and exercise on an average day. Today, the sport of choice for many was curling.
Members of Bismarck's Grace Point Church teamed up with Capital Curling Club to learn how to curl. This is the second year of the program, which organizers say is about more than just learning how to curl.
"I think it's important to, to do things with other people and sometimes that has been, or that tends to become online video games. But it's good to get out and interact face to face with people," said Duncan Hannestad, Children's Ministry Intern Grace Point Church.
Hannestad credits sports for getting him where he is today and hopes that message is passed along to his church community.
