MINOT, N.D. - Last week's Little Black Dress Campaign raised more than $14,000, and now it's time to figure out what to do with it.

Local programs and organizations that contribute to the quality of life for women and families in our community, and that are within the Souris Valley United Way Service Area, are encouraged to apply for funding.

“Basically our mission is just to empower women and improve the lives of families within the Souris Valley United Way area. But the scope of that is pretty broad, there's a lot of different things that would fit under that. It's very easy to find something that empowers women and benefits families,” said Susan Ness, chairman of the Grant Proposal Committee.

Women United says it will accept applications from March 12 through April 6.
