WILLISTON, N.D. - Multiple squad cars will be parked in front of Walmart Friday, but not because there's a situation.

The Williston Police Department is having a "Fill the Squad" event, and is asking the community to join them in getting toys and warm winter clothing for less fortunate children in the area. Walmart Manager Josh Comer says the store is excited to be a part of the police department's efforts.

"We're going to have the squad cars out in front. So, we're going to be loading up toys for kids that have been impacted here in the community, and are a part of the social services here in the community, so we're really excited to help out with the PD and help hopefully raise a ton of toys for the kids on Friday," Josh Comer, store manager.

Squad cars from the Williston Police Department will be parked in front of Walmart from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. collecting toys and warm clothes. The department says on its Facebook page that if you can't make it, they will also be accepting donations on the second floor of the Law Enforcement Center until Friday, Dec. 14.
