NEW TOWN, ND - The North Dakota Highway Patrol says a 28-year-old man from Williston was killed when his semi collided with another semi that was attempting u-turn on Highway 1804 north of New Town Monday evening.
Investigators say a 52-year-old man from Surrey was headed south in his semi when he missed his turnoff and pulled into a truck pullout lane to turn around.
They say he began turning north, blocking the southbound lane, when the victim collided with him in the rear driver side of the trailer.
Medical personnel declared the victim dead before a crew could life flight him.
Road conditions were good. The crash remains under investigation.
The 52-year-old man was not hurt.
The victim’s name will be released pending notification of next of kin.
