WASHINGTON - For the Fourth of July, the Williston High School Band will be part of an event President Donald Trump has called "one of the biggest gatherings in the history of Washington, D.C."

The band will march in the 2019 National Independence Day Parade among hundreds of thousands of spectators, according to the parade's official website.

The band members have spent the last couple of days touring the city. Thursday around 10:45 CDT, Band Directors Eric Rooke and John Bisbee will lead students down Constitution Avenue to the National Mall alongside various other performers. They were nominated by Governor Doug Burgum to represent North Dakota among bands from all 50 states.

If you'd like to watch the band in action, the National Independence Day Parade Facebook page will be live-streaming the parade, and the full video will be posted later in the day on their YouTube channel.
