Williston PD says suspicious device found in residence was expended M67 grenade

WILLISTON, N.D. - The Williston Police Department says the suspicious device that brought the Minot bomb squad and Air Force Base Explosive Ordinance Disposal Team to a Williston residence Friday afternoon was a M67 grenade that had been expended, but manipulated to be re-used.

Fifty-four-year-old Kevin Elliott was arrested earlier that day at the home, and while charges relating to the explosive device are pending review by the Williams County State's Attorney's Office, he is facing five other charges relating to possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.
