Williston Job Service helps job seekers prepare for interviews

WILLISTON, N.D. - There are a lot of jobs available in our region, but job hunting and interviewing can be challenging. Williston's Job Service North Dakota is trying to help job seekers prepare for interviews.

The center has started a workshop that focuses on the interview process. Workforce Center Manager Paula Hickel says it helps people brush up on their skills and figure out how to overcome barriers to getting hired, like a criminal background, language barriers or limited experience. Hickel says there are small things in an interview that can make all the difference.

"We just want people to know that job interviewing isn't easy for anyone, so don't be afraid to come and get some feedback and some ideas," said Hickel.

Hickel says this workshop will continue throughout October.

If you'd like to check it out, you can contact Williston Job Service ND. The next workshop is next Wednesday at 2 p.m
