Williston High School Teen Job Fair
The second annual Teen Job Fair is fast approaching.
Job Service will once again collaborate with the Williston High School, the City of Williston, and the North Dakota Department of Career and Technical Education to put on the event to help students find employment. Job Service put on the fair quietly last year to flush out any issues and will be opening the doors wide-open this year.
There is no registration fee for employers wanting to participate.
Paula Hickel with JobsND says the event is perfect for companies seeking youth to fill certain workforce shortages and for students looking for part-time summer jobs or post-graduation full-time employment.
"It is not a career fair, it is a job fair. It is about getting hired. We have a breakdown of kids who come through there and last year is about half 18 and over that would be graduating and then the rest were 16 and 17. A lot of these companies can hire you once you turn 18," said Hickel, workforce safety manager.
The Teen Job Fair is April 22 from 8:30 a.m. to noon in the Williston High School gym. For teen or employer registration and a complete list of jobs openings, visit jobsnd.com/teenjobfair.
