WILLISTON, N.D. - First responders in Williston were called to a garage fire that broke out Friday morning.

It happened around 9:30 a.m. on the 600 block of 4th Avenue. When firefighters arrived, they found a garage engulfed in smoke and flames. Crews worked to keep the fire from spreading to the resident's home and nearby neighbors. Water and foam were both used to put out the fire. The fire chief said there were no vehicles inside the garage, and it was quickly brought under control.

"Now its overall trying to make sure there’s no more hot spots. This did travel up to the roof space, so were just ensuring it doesn’t catch again and make sure everything is safe," says Jason Catrambone.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
