WILLIAMS COUNT, N.D. - The bond vote for Williams County Public School District 8 is Tuesday.
Residents of District 8 can vote either at the school district office on 111 7th Ave W., or at Montrail Williams Electric Cooperative on 218 58th Street W from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m.
The $89 million bond would build two new 600-student capacity elementary schools and a 600-student high school, which District 8 does not have. It would also allow for repairs to existing schools.
State legislators again voted down any provision for state funds for building schools this last session, and will not meet again for two years.
If District 8's bond vote does not pass, Gov. Doug Burgum and state leadership have recommended that Williston Public School District 1 and District 8 work on a solution locally.
