BISMARCK, N.D. - Commercial growth in north Bismarck is bringing more dining options to the city.
The H&D Schilling building is welcoming its newest tenants; the owners of what will become Wiang Thai Restaurant.
Wiang manager Lance Holden says the owners come from the same Thai family that own and operate Baan Rao Thai Restaurant & Mini Market in Minot.
With their industry and cultural background, Holden says the owners plan to serve traditional Thai cuisine in a more upscale restaurant atmosphere.
Building co-owner Cary Schilling says he chose to incorporate the restaurant into the plaza because he feels they're a good fit for the needs of the area.
The 1,600 square foot restaurant is currently working on the final floor plan design. Schilling says they hope to begin construction work next month.
The managers of Wiang Thai say they hope to open by the end of 2019.
