Wentz delivers speech to his home parish

BISMARCK, ND - An Eagle has flown back home.

Carson Wentz came back to his home parish, Evangel Assembly of God, to give a lecture about living every day like you are on a mission trip.

He also talked about the role God has played in his life.

He was welcomed to speak at every service this weekend.

"It says 'For we are God's handiwork, created by Christ Jesus to do good works, which God has prepared in advance for us to do,' You see we are not saved by good works, we are saved to do the good works," said Wentz.

"It was really cool to see Carson come out today. You don't really see a lot of the celebrities come out to the smaller towns, if they are from the smaller towns, but out of everything he could've done over the fourth of July he chose to come here and share the word, and share what God was doing in his life. So that was really cool to see, I really appreciate that," said Dominick Opp, a Bismarck resident.
