Watford City police seek help finding hit-and-run suspect

WATFORD CITY, N.D. - The Watford City Police Department is asking for the public’s help finding a vehicle that ran into a child and fled the scene Sunday night.

Police say an older white Ford Ranger hit an eight-year-old boy riding a bike in the 300 block of 3rd Ave SW.

Witnesses say the driver left once they realized the child had been hit, according to officers. The police department says the child was taken to the hospital for his injuries.

There may be front passenger side damage to the truck, and if you have any information contact the WCPD at 701-444-2400.

The police department says there is no information on the boy's condition at this time.
