The Department of Environmental Quality has posted a water advisory for Harmon Lake because the water may contain blue-green algae, according to the lake's Facebook page.
DEQ leaders say blue-green algae may be harmful to humans and animals.
They say not to swim near water that looks like spilled green paint or pea soup and avoid swallowing it.
They also say people should rinse off with clean water after swimming and steer clear when boating.
