MINOT, N.D. - A Velva man is in custody on accusations he stole a pickup truck from his former boss.
Prosecutors have charged 31-year-old Shane Schestler with theft of property and forgery.
The victim told investigators he parked the truck in the Flying J truck stop parking lot the morning of June 13, and the vehicle was not there in the evening.
According to court records, Schestler told investigators his boss gave him the truck as collateral for money owed, but they determined Schestler had forged the victim's signature on the seller part of the title.
The charges are B-felonies.
