BISMARCK, N.D. - University of Mary launched a new fundraising tool called "Marauders Armada" to help fund athletic scholarships.
The Armada takes the place of the Varsity Club.
This is the first time the University of Mary has a fundraising mechanism directed to athletic scholarships, creating opportunities and experience for those student athletes.
There are 80 alumni that are part of the Armada Cabinet to help raise funds.
The Armada will also help recruit more student-athletes in the future.
"This is going to be a game changer. This is something that we're in a very competitive conference. The Northern Sun is one of the best conferences in Division 2, to be at the top of your conference you got to be one of the best in the country. Right now, that's what we're striving for," said University of Mary Athletics Director Dale Lennon.
The first fundraising goal is set at $790,000 with increases the following years.
There are also future events to help reach that goal.
If you'd like to donate, get tickets to Marauders games, or know when those community events will be you can go online to maraudersarmada.com.
