Ray, N.D.- UPDATE: A 67-year old Minot man died Monday in a semi accident on U.S. Hwy. 2 about three miles west of Ray, N.D.
About 4 this morning a 2016 freighliner semi pulling two trailers traveling westbound on Hwy 2 entered the median at mile marker 50.
The semi and trailer overturned onto the passenger side facing southwest in the median, and the pup trailer disconnected and overturned facing northwest in the median.
The driver was thrown from the semi and killed.
The trailers about 9,000 gallons of gasoline and about 1,000 gallons of diesel fuel spilled, but authorities say they don't yet know how much.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the highway has re-opened after being closed for about 10 and a half hours. Cleanup crews are still working in the median.
ORIGINAL STORY: The North Dakota Highway Patrol is currently investigating a one-vehicle rollover, 3 miles west of Ray, N.D. on U.S. Hwy 2 involving a semi truck hauling gasoline.
The gasoline is currently leaking from the trailer and as a result, both east and west bound lanes US Hwy 2 near mile post 50 are closed.
West bound traffic is currently being rerouted from US Hwy 2 north onto 118th Ave NW, west on 66th St NW and south on 120 Ave NW back to US Hwy 2.
East bound traffic is currently being rerouted from US Hwy 2 south onto 119th Ave NW, east on 60th St NW and north on 117th or 114th back to US Hwy 2.
Motorists should expect at least a 20 minute delay.
