BISMARCK, N.D. - The 20-year-old Bismarck man arrested Saturday night after a six-hour standoff with law enforcement has had his bond set at $100,000.
Tjaden Smith is charged with aggravated assault, terrorizing and simple assault, domestic violence.
BPD says the incident started shortly after 1:15 p.m. Saturday when Mandan Police were investigating a domestic aggravated assault and terrorizing incident.
They say the suspect fled from Mandan officers, North Dakota Highway Patrol, Bismarck Police, and the Burleigh County Sheriff’s Office, which resulted in a slow-speed chase in and out of Bismarck.
Bismarck Police say Smith arrived at a house in the 2700 block of Lexington Drive around 3:00 p.m Saturday and barricaded himself inside.
Smith was arrested by the West Dakota SWAT team at approximately 9:25 p.m.
