MANDAN, N.D. - According to Wallet Hub, more than 41 million potential trick or treats will be on the hunt for candy this Halloween and some families in Bismarck and Mandan are celebrating early.
Mandan United Methodist Church held their annual Trunk or Treat today. It's designed for young children to have fun and get candy in a safe space.
"It's just fun to give, give to the community and see all the little kids come and they're like 'trick or treat' and they're dressed up in all these cute costumes," said Mandan UMC Secretary, Belinda VanDyke.
According to the same study, parents feel safer at a Trunk or Treat because of a variety of factors, including checking candy and pedestrian deaths.
