Trinity Health Foundation exceeds goal for turkey drive

MINOT, N.D. - Trinity Health Foundation recently wrapped up its eighth annual Turkey Drive.

The Health Foundation and its partners will be making deliveries to families just before Christmas. The hospital set a goal of $10,500 and was able to surpass it by near $1,000.

Wednesday night, more than 70 volunteers packed boxes and boxes of holiday groceries to donate to Horn of Plenty. We're told that 28 families in need will receive them early next week.

“A lot of the families are very touched because they have to be nominated by someone in the community; so they can't nominate themselves.
Some families have broken out in tears because they didn’t know how they were going to feed their kids for the next month, and just getting this food sometimes is a huge burden off their shoulders,” said Cody McManigal, donor relations coordinator.
