ORIGINAL STORY: The trial for the 64-year-old man charged with sexually assaulting a minor began on Tuesday.
Prosecutors say Russell Walbert is charged with four counts of gross sexual imposition with a victim under 15.
Walbert pleaded not guilty of inappropriately touching the 10-year-old multiple times.
In July, Walbert denied having sexual contact with the minor when questioned by police and said the child was lying but wouldn’t specify why she would make it up, according to court documents.
