Trial scheduled for next week in Tinder sexual assault case
A Bismarck man will see his day in court next week after being accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl he met on a dating app.
The affidavit says 21-year-old Elijah Jacob met the victim on Tinder in 2017.
Documents say the girl told deputies Jacob came over in October 2017 while she was babysitting and that’s when the assault happened.
Jacob is accused of telling deputies he didn’t remember and didn’t know when questioned about the incident.
He is charged with gross sexual imposition and his trial is scheduled for May 24 at 9 a.m.
