Trial dates set in Minot attempted murder case

MINOT, N.D. - A 45-year-old Minot man accused of breaking into a home in August and firing a rifle at man will stand trial in April.

Travis Yoney faces a series of charges, including attempted murder.

Investigators say Yoney fired a 22-caliber rifle at a southwest Minot home.

They say he then forced his way inside and fired again at a 30-year-old man, but missed.

The victim tackled and subdued Yoney until police arrived.

Yoney will stand trial starting April 15. He faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted on the A-felony attempted murder charge.
