Trial canceled for former Burleigh deputy accused of stealing drugs
The trial for the former Burleigh County deputy accused of stealing drugs has been canceled.
Court records say 31-year-old Kerry Komrosky is expected to change his plea in court Tuesday afternoon.
Komrosky pleaded not guilty in May to possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, two counts of theft of property and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Nearly three pounds of methamphetamine and 47 grams of cocaine were found in Komrosky’s home when Bureau of Criminal Investigation agents conducted a search warrant.
In May, BCI agents said in court that one third of the methamphetamine found in Komrosky’s residence has been traced back to old cases.
Komrosky’s case has been handled by the Stutsman County State’s Attorney’s Office.
The change of plea hearing will be at 1:30 p.m. at the Burleigh County Courthouse.
