Trial begins in Williston for man charged with attempted murder

WILLISTON, N.D. - The trial began Monday in Williston for a man charged with attempted murder. Charges were filed against 24-year-old David Mbulu in November of 2015.

The Williams County Sheriff's Department says they found a then-24-year-old woman walking down the road covered in blood after being both physically and sexually assaulted.

Mbulu has been charged with being an accomplice to gross sexual imposition, conspiracy to commit gross sexual imposition, conspiracy to commit murder and attempted murder.

Another man, 22-year-old Jean-Michael Kisi has been charged in the case as well.

Due to the sensitive nature of the case, the trial has been closed to media. We will update you with the results, as soon as possible.

Kisi's trial will be held in May.
