BISMARCK, N.D. - Much of North Dakota shut down Saturday. Snow drifts have blocked Highway 36 near Woodworth, in Stutsman county.
In Bismarck, a multi-vehicle crash blocked a lane of Highway 83 for a few hours. No travel advisories remain in effect through the eastern part of the state.
I-29 has been closed all day from Grand Forks to the South Dakota border and I-94 remains closed from Bismarck to Fargo.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol says blowing snow is making it impossible to see. The blowing snow is also causing drifts on the road and bridge underpasses are filling with snow, making travel difficult or impossible.
