BISMARCK, N.D. - The Bismarck School District relies on about 80 substitute teachers per day during the school year.
On Friday, some of those who will be filling in throughout the year were training in preparation for the new year. Tracey Reinbold with the district says they have about 300 people that they use during the year. Those going through the training learn about classroom management, expectations and activities they can do when subbing.
“They're essential to our kids continuing the learning when our staff have to be gone,” Reinbold said. “We value their time and their efforts and what they do for us as a district so we can keep things rolling.”
Reinbold says they'll have another training session in October for subs.
