Traffic Patterns Switched on 83 Bypass

On the 83 bypass traffic patterns have been switched over to the newly constructed lanes.

North Dakota Department of Transportation says that traffic will be head to head there for about six to eight weeks as they reconstruct what will be the new north bound lanes.

"We have to raise the roadway in that area to basically create some snow storage in the ditch on the west side,” says Chad Beggs the NDDOT Engineering Team Lead.

The construction along 83 bypass stretches from 4th avenue northwest to where the bypass meets with 83. 4th avenue will be closed for a part of tonight so that the contractor can place some beams on the new bridge they are constructing.
