Town hall meetings on proposed hour changes for ND ports of entry

ANTLER, N.D. - U.S. Customs and Border Patrol is proposing changes to hours at three ports of entry in North Dakota, and starting Tuesday you can voice your opinions on it.

Border Patrol wants to change the closing time of the Antler port of entry from 10 p.m. to 5 p.m., and the Carbury and Maida ports of entry from 10 p.m. to 7 p.m.

They say it's an effort to redirect resources to ports with greater commercial or passenger volumes.

There is a town hall Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the Antler Community Center on Main Street.

There is also one Tuesday at 6 p.m. for the Carbury port of entry at the Armory in Bottineau, located at 115 6th Street West.

And, there is a town hall Wednesday at 5 p.m. for the Maida port of entry at the NDSU Research Extension Center in Langdon, located at 9280 107th Avenue NE.
