Residents are celebrating Norway's Independence a day early at Touchmark in Bismarck.
Destiny Sisk, wellness director at Touchmark, says it's a great way to celebrate the area's culture.
Agnes Christianson, one of its residents, says she's been a part of Sons of Norway for about 25 years. She says her parents are both from Norway and her daughters carry on the tradition by making many Norwegian foods.
“But I asked them in Norway, how they could leave that beautiful place and move here? And they said well, you can't live on beauty,” said Christianson.
Christianson says it makes her feel good to see her culture thriving, and is happy food that reminds her of Norway is being served.
