Three cats dead after mobile home fire

No one was hurt in an early morning fire at a Bismarck trailer home, but three cats did not survive.

The Bismarck Fire Department received a report of smoke and flames coming from the home at 2406 East Thayer Avenue number 36 just after 6:00 this morning.

Crews were able to put out the fire and contain most of the fire damage to the kitchen. No one was home at the time of the fire, but firefighters did find three dead cats in the home.

Damages are estimated at more than $30,000. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
