Veterans Center in Minot begins first annual toilet paper drive

MINOT, N.D. - The Veterans Center in Minot is finding a new way to give back.

They're collecting donations for something we use everyday but maybe don't think about.

The center is collecting donations of toilet paper for three area non-profits.

The toilet paper can be donated at the Vet Center on South Broadway between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

All donations will be divided among the Minot Area Homeless Coalition, Community Action, and the Men's Winter Refuge.

The center started collecting donations after hearing many non-profits were in need.

Veteran Outreach specialist Ric Gutierrez says it's an overlooked necessity.

“They appreciate all the gifts they get whether it's clothing or food, but some of the items that most people forget are the necessities. And toilet paper is a necessity for those who are in need,” said Gutierrez.

The drive will run through December 13.
