The North Dakota Supreme Court upheld the sentencing for a man who was charged with attempted murder.
A jury found 41-year-old Branden Lyon guilty of attempted murder, illegal possession of a firearm, and terrorizing in 2017.
He was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole.
Lyon appealed his sentence, and was granted a seconding hearing in April 2019.
Court Documents indicate the same sentence was given to him.
Lyon re-appealed a third time, saying there was insufficient evidence to convict him of attempted murder.
The Supreme Court denied his appeal on Wednesday.
Lyon barricaded himself in a Bismarck home for more than 12 hours in October of 2015.
Prosecutors say Lyon fired shots at police during the incident.
