BISMARCK, N.D. - Music, shave ice and a little bit of learning. All in a day's work for some Bismarck students.
Earlier this spring, we told you about a class at Watcher Middle School that is using music to help students learn English. On Monday a group of those kids met up at Mo's Snow Shack to order a treat. Once that was done, they tuned up their ukuleles and played a couple songs.
“It's really cool playing the ukulele with friends, having fun but sometimes like it's a little nervous playing in front of someone,” eighth-grader Rai Samiego said.
Rai says the students get together periodically throughout the summer to play.
